May I outline how dangerous being a pinsetter actually is.

They’re really big on safety here. They get kudo$$ from the government if there are minimal accidents.

The stripey socks are not just a fashion statement. We are required to wear them for cosmic bowling nights so the bowlers can see when we are down picking up pins. Cosmic bowling is the ultimate blacklight-and-fog-machine-disco-ball-spinney-lights-psychedelic-freakout of bowling. I bowled my worst game ever at cosmic. Can’t see. Therefore, the bowler can’t see the pinsetters when they are down. It would suck to catch a fast hook to the kneecap by a 16-pounder.

Good thing for those stripey socks, hey?

What else can I say about the bowling alley? I love it very much. My hands get dirty.

I hope next year to host Santabowl 2004, but this year I got my Swimsuitbowl on and that was fun.
